Rajanee is proud to present her work of watercolour paintings on Thai heritage and traditional hand made Saa paper which is made from the outer bark of paper mulberry tree or Saa tree in Thai by artisans in the northern part of Thailand.
Her inspiration is the rich culture and scenes of Thailand, which she expresses in her vivid and natural style of painting.  The subject matter covers scenic views of Thailand.  Landmarks of historical places, ancient ruins sites, monarchic and ancient structures, praprang and chaedee.  Currently she is also doing research on paper making, using raw material from grass straw, sunflower stem, and corn, banana, pineapple leaf.
While studying in England Rajanee boarded with Mrs. Muriel Adams an art tutor at a school in Bristol, who held frequent art exhibitions . She became acquainted with painting and began to produce artwork.  On coming back to Thailand Rajanee went on to study watercolour painting under the tutelage of Professor Aree Suthipan of Srinakarinvirog University.  She developed a liking for Saa paper.  It makes her work more unique as the Saa paper has a texture that stirs the imagination of the painter and the viewers.  Rajanee has made indepth research into the uses of this paper.  By doing so, she hopes that her attempt will not only be an artistic presentation but also serves to ignite an awareness on the uses of this very indigenous product of Thailand.
